Why does a child need sugars?

What is a good sugar?

It brings to the body only calories, freed from the fibers, minerals and vitamins that are naturally found in sugars that are not refined.
  • Good sugars: So these are logically unrefined sugars, found in whole grains, root vegetables and fruits. And yes, no one needs sweets and cakes to get his daily dose of glucose! As for the sugar with which you sugar your hot drinks and desserts, prefer the red and unrefined: in addition to its sweetening power, it will bring you minerals and vitamins.

Beware of bad sugars!

  • Read the labels well: Refined sugar is hidden almost everywhere in industrial food products ... including salty foods! On labels, it is hidden under the words "dare" (dextrose, sucrose ...) or "ol" (sorbitol, mannitol ...). Do not be fooled!
  • Beware of sweeteners: Long considered harmless, sweeteners such as aspartame have in recent years been the subject of many alarmist studies on their potentially harmful effects on health. They play especially a role in joint pain, menstrual disorders, neuronal disorders ...
