A fall: the good reflex
- A fall or a loss of balance when you learn to walk, it happens! Learning to walk is also learning to fall! Your child is very receptive. If he feels that you doubt his ability to walk or that you feel apprehension, he may be struggling to get started.
How to help?
- He needs compliments and encouragement from you to forget his temporary distress. When you feel more relaxed, to overcome your apprehension and his, do not hesitate to make him small toes, to laugh, on soft ground, grass, sand ... By retaining, of course! This will allow you to show him, if he does not have the reflex, that he must put his hands forward to cushion his fall. This will give you both confidence! So you will not rush to him as soon as he seems about to lose his balance.
