Following the drama of the baby forgotten in his mother's car last Friday in Arcueil, Nadine Morano, Secretary of State for the Family, announced that she wanted to see a generalization of warning systems to prevent new accidents. (News of the 08/06/10)
- A 16-month-old girl died of dehydration last Friday in Arcueil, forgotten in the car by his mother. This tragedy is unfortunately not an isolated case. Between June 2007 and August 2009, the Consumer Safety Commission identified 26 accidents of the same type. 22 took place in metropolitan France, 2 in Overseas France and 2 in Belgium. 7 of these cases proved fatal. 85% of these omissions concerned children under 3 years old.
- Faced with this tragedy, Nadine Morano, Secretary of State for the Family, announced that it will bring together automakers and alarm manufacturers as soon as possible.
